The Springfield Lakes Long Day Care Centre incorporates an all-ages Long Day Care, Outside school hours care and Consultation and Seminar facilities for Centacare Family and Relationship Services, Centacare Community Services and supporting health service providers. The two storey building forms a shared entry with school’s Administration building, and is sited adjacent to Our Lady of the Southern Cross Church. The planning arrangement includes an indoor / outdoor dining Hub forming the central connection between these new facilities and the external play areas, all monitored via the main reception. The indoor play, sleeping and toilet arrangement offers client flexibility for enrolments between nursery and toddlers and the Outside School Hours Care function doubles as an art and music room for shared use with the Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School co-located on the site.
